The project aims at broadening the cluster’s existing strategy with regard to the emerging digital challenges. Based on the cluster SMAB’s established service portfolio, the project tries to develop a new range of services particularly targeted at the cluster’s member companies and the successful digitisation of their products and processes in the field of machine and plant engineering. Motivating the companies to take advantage of the opportunities arising from digitisation will enable the member companies to strengthen their internal processes, improve their employees’ skills in the digital world and consequently better the companies’ long-term perspectives.
The project aims at reaching the following goals by providing a broad range of relevant services:
- Information on chances and risks related to digitisation processes
- Support for the preparation of company-specific digitisation strategies
- Initiation of transformation processes while taking into account all relevant technical aspects
- Monitoring and evalutation of digitisation measures
