The cluster SMAB acknowledges that its activities and objectives touch a variety of industry sectors. Therefore, it is also involved in the cooperation with other clusters and initiatives.

- International cooperation supported by the cooperation partner Enterprise Europe Network Saxony-Anhalt aimed at initiating European research and development projects, international cooperation exchanges and the dissemination of technology offers and -requests formulated by the cluster companies
- Cooperation with Medical and Health Technology cluster Saxony-Anhalt within the technology field “Medical Technology”
- Support of companies in the range of IT-supported business and technology processes by Mittelstand Digital – Agentur 4.0 Prozesse as a cooperation partner, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy
- Cooperation with the Automotive cluster through cooperation with the Institute of Competence in Automobility (IKAM) to prepare the integration into the technology platform “Linked Systems“
- Cooperation with the Renewable Energy cluster to promote plant engineering with opportunities for strengthening the export power of SMAB cluster member companies
